Have you cracked into your calendar yet? I've got Advent Tea, and an Advent Tree, but I thought it would be fun to make something a little more decorative...
Enter, Advent Bunting. It's fast, easy, cheap, and environmentally friendly! This project cost me 3 euros - two for the clips and one for the ribbon, and it took about an hour.
First, find a Christmas catalogue.
oh, how i miss you, john lewis! |
tiny bunting for the tree or a bookshelf would be cute too! |
Use the template to cut 24 pieces from Christmas-y pages. If you want to make a more seasonal decoration to leave up through the New Year, cut out winter scenes.come on, count them. you know you want to... |
Find some ribbon (or string or garland, whatever you like) and five tacks or little nails. I have some cool bird and flower push pins, so I used those. Decide where you want to hang the bunting, and cut the ribbon to the appropriate size. You can put your pins up now, too. I put one pin every sixth paper for balance.
now you know who to call in a decorative pushpin emergency |
how convenient, the catalogue has a countdown page! |

You're done!
